Saxophonist/Composer/Improviser Matt Parker has been steadily gaining recognition in the music world for his unique blend of avant-garde jazz and contemporary sounds. Praised by the New York Jazz Record for his "innovative spirit and chameleon-like style," Parker has collaborated with a wide array of artists, from Ariana Grande to the Mingus Big Band. His illustrious career includes a significant milestone working with legendary trumpeter Maynard Ferguson. Recently, he toured with Postmodern Jukebox, showcasing his versatility and captivating performances.

Celebrated for his albums “Worlds Put Together” (2014), “Present Time” (2016), and his latest release, “Parker Plays X” (2023), Parker's compositions are characterized by complex harmonies and bold melodies, earning accolades from critics and fans alike. "Straightahead or on the edge, saxophonist Matt Parker welcomes listeners with warmth and wit," notes Jazziz Magazine, while DownBeat Magazine lauded his "tireless explorative spirit.”

A versatile artist, Parker has also made his mark in film music, writing and performing for Chris Pine's debut film “Poolman” and contributing to the soundtrack of the blockbuster film “John Wick.” His educational efforts include teaching saxophone, composition, and improvisation at several prestigious institutions, inspiring the next generation of musicians.
