Finding joy in the unexpected has fueled saxophonist Matt Parker for 25 years. On Sunday, July 15th, 4pm at Art-New York’s (South Oxford Space); 138 South Oxford Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217. Parker will be performing a 60 min concert featuring the music of some of the greatest composers in American music. Accompanied by pianist Max Farber they will play the music of Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, Harry Connick Jr. and George Gershwin. Parker and Farber have been playing together for 23 years. First meeting as teenagers in south Florida. “Max helped me write my very first tune Sixteen” which can be heard on Parker’s sophomore album Present TIme (BYNK Records).
